Hello. My name is Isabella and I am the creator of Games and Activities for Kids.
What inspired me to create this website? I enjoyed playing games and having fun with my grandchildren and I want to share with parents how they too can have fun with their children and enjoy their time with them.
I’ll quickly tell you how it all started:
When my daughter was pregnant with her first baby, she was wondering whether it would be worth her while going back to work given the cost of childcare and travel in London. I was fortunate that I could take early retirement and help her out. When my grandson was 6 months old, I started looking after him one or two days a week and looking after him was pure joy. I went to my daughter’s house where I didn’t have to worry about jobs that needed to be done. All I needed to do was keep the little darling happy, and what better way to do that than with lots of playing, singing and laughing with him and taking him to the park.
My ‘little darling’ is now a student and I love him as much as I did when he was a toddler.
In Games and Activities for Kids I will tell you about our favourite games and the things we have enjoyed doing together. I will tell you about favourite toys he enjoyed and about the various stages he went through as he grew up.
When my daughter had a second child, a daughter, I looked after both of them and quickly found that keeping both of them happy and entertained became a bit of a juggling act.
I hope that in Games and Activities for Kids I can pass on what I learned so you can enjoy the time with your children and grandchildren. The most valuable present you can give them is your love, your time and your full attention.
